Custom/Hybrid 300sx not a BOB

I always wanted to do a 300sx build so I went for it. It was messy, took a ton of time. Currently still in build modeIMG_3499.jpeg

I started this kind weird, I got it running, took it to the lake for day, then I bought a sj bracket to make a pole to take a guess at my riding position with a 701

I found a wb2 hull with pump, it was massive and heavy. I slimmed it down, decided to use the stock ride plate mounts to save weight because of the demensions. It actually fit well all the way around. The bulk head nearly lined up, infact the blaster was about half an inch shorter from bulk head to pump section

Next I made bed plates to start my engine alignment and see how the 701 would fit, where the exhaust would fit and start putting it together. I decided to shorten the rear 1.5”

Started on the tray, decided to kick the tail up for a future CATS. Ran stainless 1/2 cooling and bent some pvc for the steering and expected trim. Pvc into the bay for yamaha based versi plug and used a 1/4 npt compressor fitting for a tray drain, made an exhaust flange.

Okay, so we are back on track, I used appliance expoxy to get this over with. I dont have time to use actual paint right now

onto a water box, this is design based on the water boxes that Ive cut up. My welder has been acting up on ac and contamination has been a constant fight. Not proud of the welds but luckily no one will see them. I also filled a 44 manifold and plunged a hole saw into it to accept onrings instead of gaskets since the tuning on this turd is in the air.

Luv the build! Plunged a hole saw?!

I installed a jet dynamics wb2 specific pump shoe, sharpened the protec intake grate and modified a x2 ride plate. I moved the rear ride plate mounts forward 1.5 to match my shortened hull. Blue printed and sand blasted my gross 155 pump, sprayed it with yamaha engine paint and aligned it. Bottom is completed.

Slimmed down my engine mount adapters. Polished a 650 flywheel cover for my lpw 760, time serted my fp manifold and modified the outlet on a wax chamber to fit the hull better

This is great work!

So many people have tried what you're doing and failed, gave up, or went MIA.
Thank you!
There has been a couple times that I fully understood the “with the time it takes, you can work and buy a real hull” argument.

I just wanted a tricked out 300sx in my collection, not trying to cheap my self into freestyle or anything like that. Just felt like building one and I think thats what has gotten it this far
