300/440/550 38 sbn on a kawa 300?

Thinking of putting a sbn38 on my 300 instead of the standard bn34 that is leaking and not fresh.
Anyone tried that? and what jetting should i start with, it have a kerkerpipe ;-)

I have just put a sbn 38 on my 300 with kerker pipe.

I am running a 1.5 needle / seat, .60 pilot jet and a 1.0 mainjet and a 90gram pop off spring.

It runs good on the trailer but i havent tested it in the water yet. I will let you know after i test it out next weekend.

ya i run a 38 with a kerker. mine is bored out 1.5 mm over and it runs pretty dam good

Nah sorry ill give it a run this weekend I only just finished my rebuild

Ok i finally got to take my ski for a test run and the jetting was almost spot on. The .60 pilot was perfect and the 1.0 mainjet was tuned just right at 2 1/2 turns out. I want to go to a slightly bigger main jet to achieve the right mixture at around 1 1/2 turns out and i reckon a 105 main jet will be right on the money!

great!!! i try the same setup then. Do you have a vid on youre monster so i can see it in action? never seen a 300 running.
