do i need a 4 mm restrictor with my b pipe? and where can i get one home depot?? and where does it go right b4 the pisser??
i ran it on the hose and the head and cyl felt cool but i did notice a large amount of water pissing out of the pisser. all water fittings and lines are 3/8..

i set it up the way it says on factory b pipe.com here's a pic..

read the thread on b pipes in FAQ but to answer your question right before the stinger. single cooling i presume? then T the second outake off your head send half over board anf the other end gets restricted and goes to your stinger

cannot tell on the hose, gets extra cooling,
have to try it in the water
a flow control valve would probably also help your setup

im confused on factory b pipe website it show's a 4 mm restrictor in the pisser. and i looked in the faq thread it shows that everybody uses a flow control restrictor after the t into the stringer. how do i know if i need it. the water temp i ride in. 45 - 75.

is this what they mean and where does it go next to the pisser or after the t into the stringer???

The purpose of the flow controller is to limit the amount of water that fills the waterbox at idle, it has nothing to do with the water temp you ride in. The less water the engine has to push out of the waterbox, the quicker it can accelerate off the bottom. The restrictors do however depend on water temp. The purpose is to warm up the pipe and engine depending on where you place them in your cooling system. I can't remember exactly what temp your supposed change restrictors but usually I run the 2mm 30°-40°, 3mm 40°-50°, and 4mm 50°+. This is how Art has my engine set up anyways with restrictors in all 3 bypass lines off the pipe and head.

I would run the cooling line from the back of the head to the bottom of the head pipe and from the top of the head pipe to the chamber dump. Also you'll want to run a flow control valve into the chamber with the restrictor touching the pisser right after the T-fitting. Any Home Depot or hardware store should have 3/8-inch plastic dowels that work great for cheap restrictors.

I used what most use from the hardware store (short nylon spacers) and had one turn sideways in my cooling line and block it up.

I've since went the route of taking a nylon bolt, long ones that aren't threaded all the way, and cutting the shoulder up into a couple 1/2 inch sections. Then just drilled out the middle to the size I wanted. One bolt which will give you multiple restrictors for size testing and cost like $.80 vs. spacers that were almost half a buck a piece.

just food for thought.

so i found a fitting in my shed and it happens to be 5/32 {4 mm} id. i left a little bit of the threded end so it fits right into the pisser and ziptied it into the hose then onto the pisser.

is it worth it to buy a fcv. witch one is easer to adjust the standard series or pro series? man i hope all this is worth it. it's getting exspensive just for a pipe and hardwear.

pro series, and yes its worth it. i still dont think you will need a restrictor. im running two lines with a 3mm on each and now that the water is getting warmer im about to put 4mm in each.

factory b pipe website says they recomend a 4 mm restrictor next to the pisser...dont i need the 4 mm restrictor to build up some pressure and create heat. ill be riding in water temp 45-75.. i just orderd the fcv witch i was going to put after the t and next to the chamber.

not the best pic. this is how i have it set up just waiting on the fcv.i cant water test it yet because i have a broken ankle cant get the cast wet. but im trying to get everything ready so i could just tune it in the water when i get my cast off in 13 days.

Could have been. But was never an issue until I switched out cooling line to go with cheap PVC lined air hose. What I used originally was all ace sells, everything else was too large od and id.
