sick whips... love the hotwheel grafics. reminds me of my mx racing days. i was fortunate back-up bike and pit bike. the 4 strokes have taken over the sport, but i still dont think its a better bike. wont every replace the instant power of a 2 stroke!

i like 2 strokes two, but my ktm 380sx bored to a 406, vforce reed, fatty pipe/silencer, and it being ported would lose to my piped 450sx in a drag race.

also. kx250's were under powered compared to the honda cr250's..... i've never been happy on a kx. the chassis always felt sloppy to me.

I prefer 2 stroke as the engines are WAY easier to work on.

I've rebuilt both types, and the 2-stroke took less then half the time to rebuild.

I also like not having to change out oil. I got a tiny 2 stroke 1kw generator and that thing is literally indestructible. It's been run over twice and still runs strong.

This is true but its just not the same for me lol. The 2 stroke vs 4 stroke preference is just like the superjet vs sxr....it will be around forever.

Im assuming your talking about the preference of the two stroke being around forever and not the type of engine itself. It seems only in the snowmobile industry is there any progression into a simpler, just as clean, more efficient (less cc and moving parts to make equal HP) and cost effective way of making horsepower. Too bad the type of engine has got such a bad rap over the years. The tech is in place to make them cleaner, power valves, FI, etc. Yet standups and MX bikes get the old tuned pipe only technology. Then it leads to what I just read about, the news that both the SJ and SXR are getting dropped in the next 18mo. Just Yami and KTM are selling the 2 stroke MX bikes, ATV are all 4.. Meh waddayado I guess we'll all be saying Broooup instead of Braaap for the time being.

i agree. i use to leg hump on two strokes. i let a guy that had a nice newish yz250 try my ktm 450sx yesterday at the mx track. i think he's now a converted 4 stroke guy. i still have my old 98 CR250 i raced. she still runs and i'll never get rid of her. seth black graphics. :)

for the people who down on woods riding, i just think you aren't going fast enough. the only thing i enjoy more about mx tracks over trails is the air time. at hard rock they have a drop down that's about 30ish feet elevation change to flat land it. even though it was tearing up my knees i loved every bit of landing flat and all the hang time.
