anyone run a sbn 46 on a 61x/61x? any better hit on a non ported cylinder? i currently have a pro tec 44 tapered. wondering if its worth swapping.

my non ported 61x came with a 46 mm carb, my ski is faster and hits better then the skis i ride with with, i have ridden other sn s with a 44mm and like the 46 a lot more

I can't comment specifically on your question but I was inquiring about getting a blackjack carb a while back to replace my 44mm carb. I may still do it one day but I got a few responses that basically said if your carb works perfect, it's not worth changing.

i started off with a 44mm on my 61x motor and when the carb took a dump i replaced it with the spare 46mm i had and noticed a siginificant gain in the bottom end

Are most guys running the stock 61x manifold when they switch to a 46mm carb?

I was just gonna open a 61x mani up till i find a wetjet

i had my stock 61x mani taper bored to match by a machinest. noticed a big improvement on the low end
