5200 on skin?

I was working all day on my ski, was pretty tired, was 5200'ing some seams in my turf and didnt notice that The tube puntured and leaked ALL over my hands. One of my hand is probably covered 75% and the other 50%. I wasnt thinking so I tried to go to our hose and use the high pressure nozzle to get it off, that made it worse. I was trying everything to get it off before it dried, gas, aceton, goofoff, everything thats bad for the skin:Eyecrazy:, nothing worked, and now its dried, and the only thing I can think of is to just keep peeling it off.

Any ideas?

Gasoline. One time I had some mixed up resin and epoxy and then I could not find any gloves. I just used my bare hands to wet the matt out and spread it out. The mix was a hot batch and it started drying fast. Took a can of gas and a brush and kept scrubbing. I started to get nervous like you. I did a little acetone as well. Try again with some gas, maybe some gojo (hand cleaner with pumice). Then go to soap and water, again with gas and gojo. Even if all of it is not off, give you hands a rest for a few hours. Get lotion and rub in on your hands to help with all the crap you just put on it.

haha

Without going into too many details, at work we have some stuff that even gasoline can't clean off. We have some heavy duty degreaser that works wonders. Most likely will take the top layer of skin off too (done it quite a bit).

Just let it dry and it will peel right off over the next couple days. Id bonds to your skin but your body drops cells fast enough that it will shed the skin soon enough anyways. Certainly not worth dosing yourself with more chemicals.

Oh man, lol. Latex gloves are so cheap.

Even dusting your hands with baby powder beforehand would help as well. It works great before doing any fiberglass too.

Once it is cured you pretty much have to give it time for the skin underneath to die and fall off. My best luck with cleanup when uncured is alcohol. I have 99% Isopropyl at work that I have used with pretty good success. It takes some time and will be absorbed through you skin. The best "over the counter stuff" is probably something drinkable like Everclear. I am not sure if the weaker drugstrore isopropanol will work. Gloves are a good investment.
