Freestyle 550 750 freestyle conversion

Let the fiberglassing begin..... i have laid out most of the 1708 biax and will post pics once i get some resin on there. I have a couple quick questions first:
1. How does painters tape react with the resin? I have laid some painters tape out to keep all the pieces in place and am wondering now if i will have to take it off...
2. How many layers if im using 1708 biax and 636 thin epoxy with medium epoxy hardener?
3. How long must i wait before i can sand and apply another layer?

If you can apply more layers while the resin is still tacky! But if u want to sand then re- apply fiberglass. Wait at least 20 hours. Us composites resin right??

This is why kawasaki riders should be on pwctoday... Lol. I guess you guys are just confused with your 550s, sorry guys you have to have a 30k ski to fit in.. But yeah I read this thread and I'm working on my conversion ski also... I like the full flat deck you should've gone that route... Mine is going to be a sleeper

Rutland is right accept the email and you are in. Lots of these builds over there and parts abound. Lots of guys there helped me with mine and it rocks.
 
I saw his build yesterday. He has all the parts and is still working out a way to mount his 750 ss/xi ebox.
Final Setup:
19* skat trak in 550 pump
750 engine w/ ssxi electrics
Westcoast Pipe + mani
46 sbn with bored stock manifold
Supertrapp

I'll try to get him to post pictures of his paint job, or else i will. Should be finished by this weekend!
 
I ended up making my own ebox since I could not get the ss box in with the factory pipe. There's pictures in my build thread.
Looking forward to pics of yours.
 
Paint job is complements of my sister. She used Posca brand paint pens and then I sprayed a clearcoat over the final product. Hopefully it holds up.. The exhaust was a pretty tight fit. Had to go with a thinner rubber boot and it still rubs on the strip of biaxial I put on the bond line. Very close to being done here can't wait to ride it. Why did you opt out on the 650/750 pump setup?
