300/440/550 550sx questions

I was thinking of buying a 550sx for $50.

It needs a motor, driveshaft, and pump.

Can i only use sx parts or would js parts fit?

I know that the driveshaft mounting is different. It uses a single bearing instead of a gearing housing. Not sure on the pump. Getting as many of the parts from the same ski out donor ski will help in the rebuild process.

SX pump has a differnt number of splines on impeller. also you will need a SX drive shaft as the JS bearing assembly and drive shaft will not bolt up to your hull. all other parts will swap just fine. ebox is different but only the rev limiter and we all know that's not needed

can you fit a 440 pump in a SX hull???
