5deg nozzle on a XFS Comp… Yes or No?

Hi,
I have a xfs comp with a dasa 1200 and a 160 Maxx pump.

looking to get a new trim system. Currently running the rrp trim with flow guard.

The new LSP one is 5deg upswept, pitch offer both straight or upswept.

Who’s running what? I’m guessing it will feel a bit nose high with the upswept nozzle1CE9A95E-4031-461B-9B64-CCB9C3E566FB.jpeg2C35D552-0AAA-48EB-828A-DCF33DC8BF5C.jpeg

thanks

I'm currently running the new xs trim with the 5 degree nozzle. It rides a little nose high right when you get going but it's manageable. I have a medium length ride plate I'm going to try out because I do like the way they ride with a straight nozzle better.

Thanks for the reply. I had an upswept on a ski many moons ago and always remember having to push the nose down till it was on the plane.

Sounds like maybe sticking with a straight nozzle will be best for me

It's a tough call. For me the performance gained by the better trim system is worth the sacrifice of getting the ski going, I'm Used to it so it doesn't really bother me. I personally prefer xs stuff but maybe look into the p and p trim. I think that nozzle is straight or 2 degrees? I'm not sure but might be worth looking into.

I've rode XFS comp's with both and I'm not a fan of the upsweep one. Not nearly as much height on flips and turning back to attack your wave is a lot harder, you have to really try hard to keep the nose down or I was just falling over backwards when I tried to turn around to attack the wave.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I’ve just bought the straight version of the pitch components trim :) I love how the hull rides now so may have regretted buying an upswept version.

changeable rings in the exit and steering nozzle as well. Suck a nice bit of kit.
Cheers
