Other 5x10 enclosed cargo trailer, aka "El Burro"

I'm sure you have more into your trailer than I do with my ski! But it is one of the coolest multi use trailers I have seen, I wish it was mine.

So kind of curious, since u bought it new, why not order it with 3500 lb axle and windows and doors.. Why did you want doors like that in the side , I take it that even though u have the roof tent someone will be sleeping in there when the skis r out..
Lot of work looks pretty sweet

I installed some tie down anchor points today.
I can haul heavy stuff securely now....

I had built bunks that fit in the bed of my truck to carry 2 Jetskies.
When I had the trailer built, I made sure the bunks would fit in so now I can carry the skis inside the trailer.
The bunks will be secured using the anchor points.,,,,plenty of room for 2 skis!

I went to a gun show the other day and came across these 20mm ammo boxes.
Besides the paint fading away a bit, they were in excellent shape. The rubber seal is in great condition.

I paint them flat hunter's green since I could not find military green in spray can.

Installed.
They will be perfect to store camping gear.

Probably not important enough for you to change it over, but FYI... Testors makes an aerosol model paint that is the right color.

Since the tiny can was like $5, I took it to Lowes and had them make a flat outdoor paint to match.
I made these to hold batteries for my hydraulic setup.

You should have gone with Bulldog leveling jacks. You're gonna find out that those reese pro series are cheesy. Unfortunately, the pro series is their entry level cheap stuff. All of the pro series jacks I have sold have been really loose and sketchy. I hope that you have better luck, because your setup looks really nice!

when do we get to find out what the other mattress is for???

Busy at work and at play....a few updates to "El Burro"....

Propane! both sides.
We are heavy users of it and I don't like to run out.

Moving inside.

Insulation was installed on all side walls. This stuff is great!
I still have to do the ceiling....

Inside paneling and vertical railing was done.
NO....it is not real wood, but it sure looks good!

The bar at the top of each entrance is so you can help yourself get in and out of the trailer.
Ever seen a Submarine hatch and how they grab the bars to "slide" their way to the other side?
Same concept....

Second level is done too.
I carry 2 fold up mattresses so we can sleep more people if needed. I would not have more than 2 couples or 1 couple and kids. But the real idea behind this is that I can carry my skis below, and sleep at the top if necessary (say a long trip) I still have to test this and see if there are any fumes coming out of the skis. If so, I will have to do something about it.
