I bought 10' of red vinyl and 10' of navy blue metallic vinyl and did it my self-had the chrome 2" stars made where I got the vinyl-total cost of materials was 60.00. It at least gives me the idea that I really like the concept-this winter I will take the time to peel all the vinyl and SLOWLY paint it all on again.

FL-cracker-I agree totally on the stripes-I tried like hell to get the vinyl to bend and make the 'waving'action-crap I used was waaay too thin-if I had some thicker stuff that was more pliable it would be alot easier. When I paint it this winter-I am gonna try to masking tape the entire ski and then cut out what I want painted w/an exacto knife so I can do the wave idea-we shall see how that works.

SXR4ever-I had another KILLER idea while I was doin this project- black on the nose w/chrome 2"stars and the traditional Kawi lime smoothie green stripes????Hmmmm???? Or bright blue on nose w/bright orange stripes---endles combos that would look good.

looks the same-U know how anal I am bout my ski-the vinyl came out pretty good-but I'll be much happier w/it after this winter w/I have plenty of time to paint it-I like yer idea bout usin a door edge gun instead of air brush.
After I painted base coat w/air brush-it came out great-but the clearcoat absolutely sucked. So I will prob air brush paint on and use door edge gun to clear it.

And remember-all this is Adrians fault!!!LOL

yes, it could have used it.
but, I average 1 paint job a year........... since 2003 I have painted the ski each year except between 2004-2005. 2 seasons on that paint job!
