62t case is a dual carb and one of the most desired cases.

62t cylinder is ported for top end power

61x case is single carb and smaller intake reeds/ports

61x cylinder is ported for low end

6m6 is 650 stuff

64x is 760 ported for top end. A ported 61x cylinder will out perform a 64x

and ive ridden a 650 cased 701 t cyl engine and it made nice power with a kawi pipe

That was a 61x bottom/62t top if you're referring to the frankenstein engine I built for the sn. Definitely ran well for what it was.

ADDict has it right.



More power and less response. It went 2-3mph faster than a 61x cyl with more thrust and acceptable response after the pump load was reduced.
Did you play around with pump volume/impeller pitch to reduce initial pump loading.
