61x and 62t CDI

can i use a 62t on my 61x??

i want to swap CDI's to see if maybe its just something worng with mine but i cant get ahold of another 61x to test just 62ts

any help would be grrrrrrrrrrrrreat:biggthumpup:

On some CDI's, the red/white lead is female or male and a jumper may need to be made to connect. It just depends what ski the CDI came from.

Are you sure? I thought you had to have a 62t stator to run a 62t CDI.

If that's the case Danny you can use one of the 62t CDI's I have laying around to test it.:biggthumpup:

The stator and flywheel must be a matched set. The CDI is a different animal.

EDIT: And a 6M6 will also work, just a lowered RPM but for troubleshooting . . .
