61x cylinder sleeve issue

So I’m wondering how this affects performance. Is there reason to worry about further damage such as cracking happening? Engine was rebuilt after whatever caused this and had been ran for a season.

When you port them you cut a lot of that off so I'd say no it won't hurt anything.

That’s what I figured, it’s only missing material on the tapered part of the sleeve

I agree with @bored&stroked BUT if it took a hit hard enough to break that piece out you want to be certain that it isn't already cracked or the bore deformed.
Other than that, I'd cut that area off and run it for sure.

Copy, everything checks out measurement wise so I’m gonna go ahead and port it and run it!
