61x porting question w/ pics

I'm porting my cylinder in accordance with the great porting thread on here. But I'm a little hesitant at this point. Ive ground a lot away. But I'm not sure of the final shape of the tunnel. I'm not sure if it needs to be straight from the window the the exhaust manifold mount, or it needs to be a bellmouth, or something inbetween?

Thanks a lot man. Your a great seller and have AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE/SUPPORT. Lol. So the tunnel should remain original size about an inch into the port tunnel. And then bellmouth it out to the new port window size from there?

The port window on the sleeve area should have a sharp angle going into the aluminum part (tunnel). From there blend (bellmouth) the opening about 1"-1.5" back into the tunnel area to the original tunnel size. I used a rounded carbin cutter for this to get it close. Then use grinding stones and sanding drums to finish (smooth) the areas. Then once it looks fairly smooth and clean, use varies sand paper starting with corse moving to fine. This will give you a really smooth polish look. Then you can use aluminum wheel polsh if you want. Im sure the pros have different ways to do it, but thats HOw Ive done all of mine.

I invented my own tool. I bought a 1/4 inch steel rod and cut it down to a few inches in length. Take a one inch wide by around 12 inch long strip of sandpaper and tape one end to the last inch of the rod and wrap the sandpaper around so that the drill or grinder you use turns in the direction that would be tightening the sandpaper around the rod. It's the best thing i've used. I like it better than sanding drums. Will sand all the way around the port by sticking the tool in the middle, and does it fast.

A picture would describe this better, but it's at a friend's place right now where i'm doing some porting and polishing.

Defintely looks to me that you need to open up the cylinders more to match the sleeves. Maybe somebody else can chime in who knows what they are talking about but I think you want more of a straight shot from the inside of the cylinder to the exhaust manfold....maybe?

Here is my first attempt at porting, I made my own template and just did a little reading on the site. I still need to clean them up a bit and smooth/polish everything but you get the general idea.
