61x used to rebuild a 62t

To start i'm a noob and learning from reading threads and need some help. I have a 760 62t that I lost a rod on the crank. I as wondering if I could buy a 61x complete motor and take the crank and top end and put it into my 62t cases? I would only be taking the cylinders and crank and using everything else from my motor. it has 760 62t top end with a b pipe, is there any problems im am going to run into doing this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

reading some threads -are the exhaust bolts different in on the 61x from the 62t? will my b pipe exhaust manifold still bolt on to the 61x?

Yes,the bolts are different. Your 62T exhaust manifold should fit the 61x cylinder.
