61x Vs. 62T

Hello Im new to the forum, Im looking to put a 701 62t motor from a 1995 waveraider in my 93 Blaster. (stock motor destroyed itself) I have a few questions, will the stock blaster exhaust bolt to this motor? And Will the blaster mounting plate also bolt to the bottom of the motor?
And is there anything else i should know about doing this conversion, Any information will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

waveraider 701 kicks butt.. I believe its an easy swap but may have to change e-box because going from single to dual carbs. I am not completely certain myself.

The stock Blaster exhaust will not bolt on to the 62T 701 motor. It can be made to work, but you're much better off getting an aftermarket exhaust (though even that will take some work).
The bolt holes for the exhaust manifold are M10x1.25 instead of the required M8. If the exhaust mounts to the head at all, the stock 62T head will not work.

I have a stock 701 61x head, I heard somewhere that this will work on the 62T cylinders? If this is the case I will use the 61x head and the stock blaster exhaust should bolt up to it. I am getting a Aftermarket pipe later on in the year, i just want to get back out on the water Asap.

You will need to drill out the holes in the stock 61X exhaust manifold. Also, the ports don't quite line up.

How did this work out for you? I had same scenario... I drilled out manifold and put studs in the top two. I had some water leaking at the top of manifold, however I used old gaskets. I had new 61x gaskets, but they didnt match the water jackets as well. I'm going to mess with it some more later today.
