61X wetjet engine in a 94 GTX. The wife is happy...

My wife loves her 94 GTX. For three years the 720 Seadoo swap served her faithfully.

When it did some clearancing I didn't want to put another 720...so I put a 701 in.

I cut the mounts from a WR3 and mad a jig to hold a mock engine from above and level/centered/plumbed/trued everything and then epoxy/glassed the mounts down.

Engine is a beat 61X from a wetjet
46mm carb
wetjet intake
Carbon tech reeds
Factory mod pipe
OEM electronics with JSS wires
wetjet coupler/Seadoo 951 coupler
factory driveshaft
Solas prop

It took 5 weeks to build after work and she loves it. So stoked...

Lots of hate from some people but my wife loves it and she cooks dinner for me 6 days a week. Just happy she is happy.

I'm diggin it. I bet that motor in a XP hull would be awesome. Nice work!

We have an 89 SP that runs great which is our family/loaner/kid/beater ski but if that motor ever dies....it's going to Yamaha too.

the 787 engine is a better motor in terms of power but not as readily available around here. Plus working with a single carb is so damn easy so I really like this setup. Everything can be gotten to!

So after ONE lake test...we took the ski to St. Pete this past weekend. It rode FLAWLESS all weekend. Not one hiccup. Amazing ski and everyone rode it. She sipped fuel all weekend too. Where my blaster 1200 went through 9 gallons...the seadoo ate up 2! HAHA. My wife is in love with it all over again.
