Has anyone heard of a motor build using sxr pistons?

I have a motor with 62T case, 61X cylinders with SXR pistons as per the legend. trying to figure out how this is possible with what jugs.

Yes! Its referred to as a “Flattop motor” the Yamaha piston has a domed crown, where a Kawasaki piston has a flattop crown. A significant amount of machine would be required to build a flattop. This was a popular mod back around 2000, for both racing & freestyle.

The ones I have built require special sleeves, and Kawa style pistons. Custom shops like myself can modify the parts you would need to work,

Do you know who the builder was??

The two companies I used for sleeves are no longer in business ( R&D and Northwest sleeve)
In order to make them now, you will need to modify LA Sleeve to match what you have.
For the pistons, one would be best suited having a old piston to duplicate.
All that said, every builder that used to make these, built to their spec.
To make parts for your cyl? I would need your cyl and pistons to match to?
All it will take is time and $$$$!

in reality here, they are probably kawi 750 pistons since this flat top mod was done before there even was such a thing as an SXR.
i got carbon techs old yellow and white race boat #212. it has a carbon tech flat top motor built by nick. when i blew the dust off it the one time i did ride it, it had zero bottom end but hauled ass up top.
