62T/62T with Stock Dual carbs but single Carb Pulse Line fitting on Engine Case? Engine Rebuild, should I add a second Pulse Line?

I have a 62T im putting together and its a 62T/62T motor with Dual 44mm's that im rebuilding with new gaskets, seals, and top end. However, i want to install the stock Dual 38mm Carbs for my RN Superjet, and i noticed this motors upper case which is 62T only has one Pulse Line Fitting. Its on the front carb only and it just seems to go along to the next fuel pump in some kind of In/Out loop setup.

How hard is it to add the second Pulse Line barbed fitting and is it needed for a Superjet 700 build w/pipe for regular surf riding?

Im going to be using a 61X cylinder that i already have that are freshly bored out to a set of new set of pistons..

Thanks

If you have the case disassembled its easy to add another pulse fitting on the other cylinder. The case already has a pad for it and you can plug it when not in use. The single pump works fine with 38s. I use a single remote pump and block-off plates to replace the carb pumps. .All my friends use the carb mounted pumps, they both work great..

Yes i have the motor dissembled and the cases split so i figured I'd ask to see if its worth adding the second pulse line, since I do have it apart already. Im sure it works fine with the single pulse line and if that's how it was alredy in the ski id just leave it. I'm just curious how much of difference it makes and if it's suggested to do.

I'm going to be running the stock dual 38mm Carbs. I hadn't looked at them closely yet to notice the single fuel pump setup, these are the 44mm carbs from the 62t motor that i bought complete awhile back.

thanks for the replies!

If you might want to put bigger carbs on it at a later date and already have the engine apart, then definitely add a 2nd pulse. Otherwise, it's not necessary with stock 38s. I will say that I'd you decide to port the cylinder and cases abd more cc's then I would put a set of 44s pr 46s on it. The 38s work well to a point but especially with engine work, you're leaving a lot of power on the table with stock 38s.

I have run twin 48 novis of a single pulse with no issues. However i dont think its the right thing to do, I was in a bind and wanted them on for the weekend. They stayed on for about a year

Adding one is super easy with cylinder off. But its not needed for dual 38's. I have a set with one pulse line and I just removed the on board fuel pumps and ran an external which only needs one pulse line to feel both carbs.
I often wondered if a Y split would work, guess Wax ansered that for us.

Just so you know......a Seadoo 951 comes stock with 46mm I body Mikuni's and only one pulse line feeding ONE fuel pump that supplies enough fuel even for a decently modded engine. And that fuel pump is the same thing found on a 38mm carb.
