The MSD flywheel will work with the MSD total loss only.

Lightening an OEM flywheel, as inexpensive as it is, is pissing money into the wind, iMHO. Not a noticeable difference in my experience. Your experience may vary.

Ill just stick to the enhancer Cdi and a lightened flywheel

As mattE said the lightened flywheel really doesn't do much unless you already have the enhancer, high comp. Head, ported bpipe, ported motor a pump with the right pitch prop, etc. It is the last piece of the puzzle.

I think of it as putting neon lighting under a work vehicle.

I went back to back on a stock motor with bpipe, enhancer, head in the surf and the flat for a week and noticed ZERO difference in performance. IMHO I don't know why people think they need a light flywheel. You are spending money to weaken a part of your crucial electrics.

That money could be spent on better parts or more tanks of gas!

I disagree. The lightened flywheel has its place. What I don't understand is why people but Enhancers over EPICS or Advents. Its not like one is bullet proof and the other is not. But it is that one actually can add performance at varying levels and be useful in future motor expansions and the other is stuck at a preset. Just my opinion. Back to the flywheel tell MSD and ATP to add some weight
