What’s the max bore on a 62t 701 are the sleeves the same as 61x or thicker? On an old post Matt e talked about boring one to 85 mm
If you look at the port roof, it angles down a bit, so by over boring, you are effectively lowering the roof the the port window. But this is a minuscule amount.in that post he said boring a 62t up a ways lowers it port timing having a hard time understanding that. Is it accurate? 84 sounds like a good number thanks for the info
Somebody on here said that oem Yamaha pistons measure slightly bigger than pro x but those are only available in a couple of sizes. Too bad they don’t offer the sized pistons a-d like some of the outboards and other power sports stuffIs there a thread on piston sizes? Like a 84mm pro-x vs Wiesco vs SBT vs WSM? Wondering if you could go up just a hair in size by switching brands.
Not really without ordering stacks of pistons, The WSM's run a pretty consistent size from the ones I have seen , the Wisecos and Wossners being forged would of course take up space because of the extra piston to wall clearances needed to run them.Is there a thread on piston sizes? He does not have a 760. He has a 62T 701I'm not sure what you're trying to do but 84mm is stock bore for a 760 so there's a chance you can find 84.25 if you're looking for slightly more than 84.
Yes and 760 pistons work great for a 701 62t that is at max bore, 84mm.He does not have a 760. He has a 62T 701
I was reading your post from different POV.Yes and 760 pistons work great for a 701 62t that is at max bore, 84mm.
best answer62T has two different sleeves
701 62t. Groove in bottom. Seen them at 84mm
760 62t. No groove seen them at 85.5 (some people will say 86mm but they get super thin on the bottom).
Many aftermarket sleeves are straight diameter so they can go 85.5 and sometimes 86mm
