64v case?

Are 64v cases the same as 62t? I have done some searching but some people are saying its a 760 case. Also it appears I have 61x cylinders so I just order 701 standard rings for those, correct? I'm trying to order new base gasket, head gaskets, head pipe gasket, and piston rings.

They are mostly the same. The 760 Cases are sized for 760 cylinder and have two pulse fittings by the intake manifold. Your 61x cylinder is fine to run on it. @Rdrttoy can get you all of those parts. Make sure and check your piston size before ordering rings though.

I am pretty sure they are just the stock size, should I grab a digital caliper to be sure? I was just going to order the OEM 81mm size. I do need a set per piston, correct? The head pipe gasket is for a Factory B-pipe by the way.

It looks like the case is a 62t based on the casting on the case itself. The sticker says 64v, but I don't think that matters. My 97 was bone stock when I bought it and has the 64v sticker and 62t casting like yours.

64V cases are 760 cases that were used on xl700s. only one pulse line but has the blank casting for the other pulse. 760 cyl drops right on , where it wont on cases specifically designed for 61x or 62t cylinders.

Heh well somehow my domes were cracked and one of my head gaskets was completely gone, hopefully after I replace all these things I will get my compression back to normal.
