64x Exhaust Question?

Location

Recently picked up a 760 raider to use as a donor ski for my backie chan. just started looking for a different exhaust system for it and was wondering what exhaust systems will work for this? Did some searching and didnt find any info that really helped. Would like to get a factory pipe but I am not sure if either the 61x or 62t manifold will work with it.
Thanks

Just Find a BPipe and then you can install some Time Certs to reduce the bolt size down or drill out the holes in the manifold and source the M8 Bolts.

You can use the 61x manifold, which is more common. You will need a 62t exhaust gasket on that cylinder since ports are higher/larger. This will work, but better yet port match the 61x manifold to the 62t gasket and you are set. As mentioned, you can add helicoils etc for the m8x1.25 bolts, OR drill out the holes in the mani and use the stock 10mm bolts. If you tried to use the 61x gasket on that cylinder you will probably eventually have a leak in the cooling jacket area, fyi. IF you buying a new pipe, and plan on staying with the 760 based motor, just order the 62t b pipe manifold from the start.

Thanks for the info. Good to know that I will need the 62t gaskets and if i get a 61x I will more then likely try and port match it.

So instead of starting a new thread figured i would just ask this here. Just picked up a B-pipe and it came with a gasket kit. I think the gaskets are for a 61x but am not sure. how can I tell the difference between a 61x gasket and a 62t gasket?

It's hard to tell the gaskets apart if you don't have them side by side. 61x gasket will not allow a 10mm bolt to pass easily through the bolt holes. You could also mock it up to the cylinder. the 61x gasket will hang down into the exhaust Port on the 760 cylinder. Hope this helps some!

61x has holes for 8mm bolt
62t has holes for 10mm bolt

Bpipe comes with gasket to match whichever manifold you bought.
