300/440/550 650 44mm Mikuni X-2

Hey.. Just brought a 44mm Mikuni.. How do i tell weather it is a sbn or bn or what ever it is?? also how do i connect the throttle so that it can be surported? becuase it has nothing that it can be surpported by..
Also i dont have a primer, so what do i do with the inlet for the primer??
Thanks for the help, Ash

I used a flame arrestor braket to mount the throttle cable to. But you could also use an SX throttle cable and mount it to the intake manifold.

For the primer, I recommend you use one, but if you dont, just plug the opening.

Ok thanks, that means its a sbn..
for where it gets surport, it doesnt have any bracket on the intake manifold and it doesnt have anywhere to mount it off the flame arrestor, becuase it has a K&N filter on it.. So what do you think i should do?? maybe make something up to hold it??

That's what I ment in my first post. I used a braket that usually goes in between the filter and the carb. These usually attach to the head of the engine, but I mounted it sideways and voila!!!

ok.. im goin with the plate between the filter and the carb, ive just put the manifold on and will make the bracket up tommrow night..
thanks for all the help and stuff

you could use a yamaha single 44 throttle cable bracket. it sits between the carb and manifold. it requires a little grinding, but it works very well

ok shes all on and it seems to go good with the hose connected to it..
Does anyone know what the high and low settings are for it?? as im goin to the lake this weekend and if i have any trouble i can try the settings out..
Thanks heaps, Ash
