650 Bpipe on 62T 701 motor?

I have a sn superjet with a 650 motor and the 650 B-pipe version. Will the 650 b-pipe work on there or will it be a decrease in performance? Otherwise will the exhaust manifold and head pipe work with a limited or mod chamber? Then I can just widen the exhaust manifold? Thanks!

The mani and headpipe should be the same as the newer ones. Just the chamber is different. A limited or mod chamber will work with it.

But, to work on a 62t cylinder, you'll need to helicoil the threads of the mani bolts.
The 62t cylinder uses bigger exhaust bolts.
There are a ton of threads on here about it.
 
Thanks! Ill just get a limited chamber then. Would it be easier to either use the exhaust bolts from the 62T manifold or get the factory pipe bolts from jetmaniac?
 
I'm not sure if it's the wavy one. Here are pictures.
I will port match the manifold.
Is it worth it to run it on the 62T?

Yeah that one. I ran a straighter one on my 62t set up. It was a 650 factory pipe with the headpipe only said factory pipe with 2 screw adjustment and the manifold was for a 650 but had the top of the manifold bored to the original bpipe gasket. Helicoiled the 62t cylinder for smaller manifold bolts and ran great.


Keep the chamber and my buy a limited or mod and then try the 650 chamber after and see if you notice a difference. Then sell whatever one doesnt work for ya.
 
Perfect, thank you. I was planning on testing out a limited chamber but wanted to make sure everything would interchange with a different chamber and motor.

Would I want to use just a M8x1.25 helicoil? That would allow me to use the 650 exhaust bolts then? Never used them before but they look fairly straight forward to use just not sure on sizes

I cant remember the number off top of my head but they just went inside the hole. To be honest I managed to get 2 helicoils in all the threads so I could sleep better. I can't remember how I did it but I did lol.
