Anybody know how to do this. I rented a harmonic balancer remover from autozone. I put the 3 bolts into the flywheel with the adaptor for the center bolt to pull the flywheel off. I stripped one of the bolts of it's threads and bent all three bolts. I then switched to the longer bolts in the kit & threaded them all the way through the flywheel almost, but not quite touching the stator coils. Then repeated the process and bent all three bolts at the heads. This thing won't budge.

I had similar trouble getting mine off. A air gun didnt even work for me. But I got the bolts really tight and then hit the tool with a mallet and that got the flywheel off.

you most likely have the puller threaded on the puller shaft upside down.

one side of the puller is flat that is the side the bolt heads should be on.

if that is not your problem then you may need to put washers on the bolts

make sure your pushing on just the crank, mine needs a small socket in the hole first, then the puller. use impact driver then hit the puller long center bolt hard and/or repeat.

I bet that was the problem. I'll try again wed. I tapped it repeatedly (really not a tap, more like knocked the :):):):) out of it), I used washers and I had the triangle piece on the right way. All that & the bolt might have been pushing against the flywheel & not the crank. :bad3:

Thanks!

Send it to P&P Performance, they are close by and can handle it for you :)

not happening! haha, it's a locked up motor & I'm just grabbing parts to sell. However, I am trying to send a buddy of mine who lives in hopewell, and has several skis, in your direction. I told him that you know your :):):):) and you're right down the road. Now, I just got to get him to register on junkies.
