300/440/550 650 sx what year

hi just bought a 650 sx last week to get started with the stand ups as i had a sit down last year .anbody know know how to tell the year it has
JS650A-604022 stamped on the plate .

Look at the last 2 digits on the HIN plate on the rear right of the ski, or under the battery. 89=1989 90=1990 & so on.

That looks like a 90 or 91. What did you find on the HIN?

The '91s had rear exhaust.

that looks like my old '89 with the front Exh.

i have a '90 now for the wifey and it has rear Exh....

so its somewhere in the '80's bro

t2wst- judging by the graphics and front exhaust your ski is a 1990 model.

this only applies to HINs in the USA and may not apply to skis sold elsewhere in my understanding

let me just say that i have one currently that my wife rides and its a '90 as far as the REGISTRATION shows anyway and it has Rear Exhaust....

as far as i know the date is correct....but i guess it could be a late year model or someting??

hi anyway tryed it today these stand ups not easy standing great turning think i drank half the north sea lol it is really clean no marks any were it asy pro on the ride plate is this a upgrade

Yeah, I had an '86 rear exhaust reed motored 550 with the rubber rail caps. These things happen.

Yes the ride plate is an upgrade.
