650 vxr waverunner 88'

Not much on search engine about them? But I just picked up trailer for my SJ and it came with an 88 650 VXR on it and aside from the torn seat and dead battery and a couple years of dust/dirty looks nearly mint?

Been stored indoors for a few years. Engine comparment looks nearly as clean as my 07 SJ?!!

Are you guys gonna laugh at me if I clean it up and ride it once and awhile?

It even has the dumb nozzle visiblity marker spout still intact on it? I figure some wax, maybe new plugs (hopefully the carbs aren't to bad) I might have something fun for friends/family to play with?

Thoughts?

that would be a fun beater for sure! if it is a 650 (i dint think they had a 650 back then) you can rob some parts off it for your sj if you had too

I have a 650 WRIII for a family/guest ski and it is nice to be able to swap some of the parts. They are fun to ride for inexperienced or mild mannered riders.

works as a one man photo or tow boat as needed
cheap and you cant kill the old wr series

Ya I was thinking that exact thing when I thought of maybe riding it if it runs..opworm:

I don't think I'll be throwing any money into it...Don't even like the idea I'll have to at least buy a battery.

Got about $100 work to do to trailer as well as the lights are busted, tires might need alittle TLC and hitch receiver needs to be converted over as I want it a 2" ball hook up.
