650sx flat deck vs side wall deck

Hi,
I am wondering what would be the pros and cons of flat deck vs regular deck for a 1987 650 sx rebuilt project.

Pro, tray space for days, and you get to run footstraps.
Con, slightly less leverage and control of the hull when carving and riding.

only con I know of is that they are a little more work to get up on after falling in deeper water.

Cons of a flat deck: no leverage for turning, more likely for you to fall off, less structural integrity, more likely to sink, likely to need repairs.

Pros of 1987 650sx:
They weigh less than 550lbs

I Think i will keep it simple with a regular deck.

When I had a 650sx I widened my tray and build a nice slot for foot holds worked great until it the ski broke in half in the waves... If you ride in big water make sure you reinforce it where the hood lines drop closest to the bond line
