so if my carb pump is weak how do i fix that? buy a new carb? and i havent been able to find a rebuild kit with needles and everything in it! any ideas?

so, i took the carb off again and checked everything and everything seems to be good, but the pulse line... theres a little box it runs through before it get to the engine and i think that box is like clogged, so that is probbly my problem im geussing, hopefully thats it

ther is a box that is in between the cases and the carb? i know the 550's have a box on the return line to the tank that works as the rev limiter. i think the pulse line should just got from the engine case to the pulse fitting on the carb with a short hose.

The pump on my carb didn't work worth a crap on my XP when I got it. I took it to the local guru and he sprayed some wd-40 into the fuel line and cranked her. She's worked ever since.

We were able to keep the engine running by putting our hand over the intake for 1 second, then she'd run for a second, and repeat (choke??).

Also, the guru recommended a carb rebuild ASAP.

yeah, well the pulse line goes from this little box, im not positive ill have to take another look, so im not sure

That box is the fuel pump and you have a 28mm carb,do yourself a favor and find a 38mm carb,it bolts on to the 28mm manifild you just have to hog it out a little and it has an integral fuel pump also ,as an added bonus it will gain some ponies with just that mod.
