Just wondering what you guys with the 650sx Pump installed are running for impellers??

examples of impellers I have seen/heard people run on theirs:
9-17
0r
13-18

what would work better with my setup thats below?

701 61x motor
180 psi compression
aftermarket exhaust
wetjet intake with 46mm carb

I never ran one, that what i heard to run. I ran a straight skat 16 last year and loved it.

LMK if you think this will work..

84.5mm Protec ported 61x, ada head (180psi), Total loss, Sizzler pipe, wetjet mani with 46sbn, Carbon reeds, billet couplers, Tdr waterbox, bluprinted pump, stubby cone, Pjs rip turn nozzle (like 88mm reduction)

With SKAT 15? All i want is low end, no top end since i have another ski to joy ride.

dirk, how exactly are you wanting the ski to perform?

I want it to jump too the moon while still having the ability to go pretty fast top end ....... good all round performance I guess.

I have a TBM Pump cone I can use ..... if its worth using?? I read that they only work well when you have alot of HP ........... is that true?

I guess my question is what can I expect from a 9-17 and what can I expect from a stock sxr800 impeller 13-18??

which impeller would it be worth using the TBM cone with?

The TBM cone is made for 750sx/sxr800 ........ does matter if i use it with a 9-17 skat 650sx impeller.

will the tbm pump cone work well with a 650 impeller is what I mean

thats what I was thinking cause the size of the TBM did not match up with my 9-17 650 impeller.

if I do use a 13-18 sxr800 impeller ...... is it even worth using the TBM cone?

also what are the advantages/sacrifices of a 9-17 over the 13-18 impeller?

yours is prob a 9-17 750sx impeller correct??. .... so it matches the Pump cone

Mine is a 9-17 650 impeller so the cone isnt going to work for me

For the guys that have tried both a 9-17 and a 13-18 on a similar motor setup too mine ......... what did you like better about each impeller?

Just trying to weigh pros and cons of each?
can a 9-17 possibly make my pump cavitate?

I ran the ski with the 9-17 impeller today ..... seemed to work pretty well.

Would there be any advantage of using a 13/18 swirl impeller?? What will a 13/18 swirl do better than a 9-17?

The greatest weakness of any pump, especially smaller pumps will show when riding out of a landing or tail stand. Second generation pointy hub and swirl props work much better in this condition. Older props struggle more out of the hole but are fine once the boat is moving provided a good grate is used.

Will a 13/18 swirl offer more low end or much of a difference in topend over a regular 9-17
