I have a 93 sj650. I'm new to this and been riding just this summer. I want to do a 701 motor. What all do I need for this and any advice thanks

Well if your just pulling this whole 650 engine with electronics you can drop in a 61x based 701 and get some 61x electronics to throw in, you can use the same single 44mm carb but itl have to be rejetted and tuned. Thats pretty much it.

There are a lot of threads on this swap. It is very simple and straight forward. Just look for a donor ski with a 701 engine swap the engine between the too and resell the donor ski to recoup some of your cash.
