66e bigbore sleeve question

If you can re-nik why would you not want to. Nicasil dispates heat better, you only have to replace the piston vs. piston and rebore and nicasil resists seezing better but I'm sure there is a sleeve out there.

Guys Nicasil cylinders don't have sleeves, can I get a duh huh? You bore the aluminum out to the desired bore diameter and replate them.of course you can bore the cylinder out and put a sleeve in there but as said earlier the heat dissipation is much worse and you will always get more power with a plated cylinder.

Dasa/Racers Edge has sleeves for the 66E that you can use with 87mm pistons.
thank you. that's what I needed to know.

if I bore and plate I'm stuck always replating. if I get a sleeve I can bore it myself and hone if needed. not to mention how much easier it is to port a sleeve out of a cylinder and then match the ports to the sleeve.

The LA-Sleeve part number YA-5356 has a maximum bore size of 81mm

The Northwest Sleeve part number 1451 has a maximum bore size of 82mm.

If you want to go with a larger bore they'll have to be custom made and the price will be 125 bucks a piece.

I see, the sleeve that is in there now is from SBT and only will go out to 81 too.

if I go with a custom sleeve can I tell them what porting I want? that might be the best idea yet.

my 66e has been resleeved, but its not a BB sleeve...
is there a way to tell what kind it is???

Measure the outside diameter at the bottom of your sleeve.

The NW GP800 sleeve should measure 3.400" and the LA-sleeve will be a bit smaller.

What companies do these?

Either Northwest or LA-Sleeve will custom make sleeves to their specs or yours.

Here's some pictures of the LA-Sleeve for the GP-800
.

punch it out to 90mm and nicasil works like a champ makes it a 992-- fx69boys fx1 is still running great-- he is retarded and always gets water in his motor, but so far hasnt hurt anything-- very torquey-- i think it uses 1200 cyls though-- i dont remember what the difference in cyls are

port timing on the 800 and 1200 is the same. the transfer port is wider on the 800 nearest the exhaust port on the bottom of the port.

Btw replating runs about $135.00 per hole,so buy the custom sleeves if you want ,you are not coming out cheaper to do so.
