OEM, Really?

I bought an aquatorque from Dennis Kirk over 7 yrs ago and it's still cranking just fine. I just couldn't justify the cost difference back then for an OEM.

At these prices I'd go OEM, back in the day the best price i could find was over $450 for OEM.

Greater Yamaha OEM Starter $270.87

I just bought an aftermarket ebay special bendix and starter. I think I got both for $100. Both are still doing great after two years. (knock on wood) The company I bought from also gave a one year warrenty on the starter.

Mark44 also has an ebay special and his has been on awhile.

call Greater Yamaha and I bet the price would go down.

I keep forgetting to do that, John always calls me after to confirm shipping info but I always forget to ask for a better price.:banghead:

I snagged a brand new starter for $75 shipped last month from another member.
