i am planing on swaping to a 701 in my square nose after this season is over. so i have a few questions so i can possibly start collecting parts for it.
im pretty sure i want to use the 62t crank cases, and the 61x top end using a single carb and a msd ignition.

1)will my 650 crank work?
2)will the 46mm carb i have on the 650 work well?
3)is Ada the best head to get if i still want to run pump gas
4)will the 650 stator and flywheel work on the 62t bottom end?
5)is it necessary to upgrade to the msd ignition, or can i modify my 650 e-box to work?
6) will i need to change the impeller to match the 701, if so what pitch?

thanks, hopefully once i get it back togather and running well, i will start collecting parts within the next couple of weeks!

Creative RE Purchasing
1)will my 650 crank work? Yes

2)will the 46mm carb i have on the 650 work well? you can only run a single carb on 62T cases if you purchase a single carb conversion manifold. Riva, Blowsion, ATP, all makes these manifold setups

3)is Ada the best head to get if i still want to run pump gas ADA is a good head

4)will the 650 stator and flywheel work on the 62t bottom end? Yes as long as the 650 flywheel and stator are both used together

5)is it necessary to upgrade to the msd ignition, or can i modify my 650 e-box to work? No modification is necessary to the e-box, although you'll probably want to either use a CDI that has an adjustable rev limiter, or that has the rev limiter disabled. You can also use an MSD enchancer ignition, other than that, there is no modification needed

6) will i need to change the impeller to match the 701, if so what pitch? Not sure here, I am in the same situation. I just put a 701 in a square, and am messing around with props to see which one is best. Next prop I am trying is stock WaveBlaster prop.

1) well if i just use the complete 61x motor, will that still be good, i am planing on putting head, and pipe and hoping that it will rip? (im already impressed by the hammer kit on my 650 but i want more for next year :brap: ) i dont want dual carbs... too much trouble posibilities, and i would rather just buy something that can just bolt my parts onto without having to buy adaptors or fabricate anything unless i absolutely have to.

2) anyone have the steps to disabling the rev limiter on my ignition? ive been told that you can do it by cliping some wire and soldering something... anyone know?

3) what should i expect to pay for a good condition used 61x w/o electronics or carb... but with the stock exhaust so i can ride until i get a pipe if i dont have one.

srry not interested in the total loss, no clue how to use it and set it up. i just got a 61x motor that i have striped down, waiting on porting templates, new crank, and 82mm pistons.
