650/X-2 701 X2 pipe question

So I am building a 701 X2 and was plannign on running a cheater pipe (650 sx stock pipe) with a Fp manifold because I knwo it fits...but have been thinking and since the stock kawi pipe fits whats nto say a coffman pipe won't fit. ANyone have any experience with this?? ANyone know if any of the kawi 650 pipes fit with the 701 in there?? Not looking to spend the coin on a b pipe unitl I know for sure that this ski is somehting I want to hold onto, as I haven't had much experience with them.

Hey dude, coffman sizzler pipe has a larger diameter and didnt look like it would fit when i was building the x2. I believe a kerker pipe would fit. What are you doing mounting wise making up new mounts or running what i had? Also do you still need that stator? I dug it out of the shed last weekend and forgot to pm you.

The coffman pipe fits fine with the kawi motor. I cant see the exhaust mani being that further out than the kawi. The other thing is that bill and darrell got the FP pipes squeezed in with their wastcoast 840's. The coffman should be easy.

here is a pic of the b1 limited chamber mocked up in an x2. gas tank does have to be molded, but i will say it fits a little better with the 701 than the kawi motor.

My Coffmans X2 pipe almost rubs the hull with the original engine. Add an inch to that with a Yamaha engine. You may be able to modify the mounting lug and clear the hull but I think it would be a lot easier to find a Sizzler, it mounts closer to the engine. The Sizzler is shorter with steeper cone angles than the X2 pipe giving it more punch.
