finally (after many busted knuckles, 2 different pipes, and long nights in the garage and what seemed like a bunch of money) i got my 701 x2 running/floating.

61x 701cc, ADA girdle head with 185psi, lightened flywheel. Factory B pipe with the Blaster limited chamber (slightly dented to fit) with rear exhaust, front nose fill, and tubbies that need to be installed.

took it out today and without any tuning done yet, it rips!! cant wait to see what its real potential is..

this winter: chop off 6" of the rear, and move the steering back 3-4", paint and turf.

Moving the steering was the best thing I ever did...6" however is alot IMO, or figure out how it can be put back later if needed.

Can you please do a write up on your build, at least the 701 conversion, including how you overcame the fitmit challenges, then PM me with a link or post in the X2 mods thread so I can add it for other people to find later. It's ok if it is a PWCtoday build thread. It will still be useful in the list. Not very many Yamaha conversions in the mods thread. People will appriciate it.

this was sorta just the mock up. Yes Rhass makes a really nice conversion plate, u send him ur stock yamaha mounts and he sends u the bed plates, and all the hardware and new custom motor mounts. i think it was a little over $200, pricy for 2 pieces of aluminum and some SS hardware, but def worth it since it didn't require me spending time trying to measure and make them. 10/10 product. ill write up a build thread once i get all the photos together and remember how it all went together. lol. basically did it twice.... once with the Riva Red pipe (was determined to make it fit because i already had it.....got it to fit, but couldn't keep it tight, ended up stripping one of the manifold bolts- currently for sale) then dumped the money for the Bpipe and blaster limited chamber. after a quick 15 mins on it, the ski wears u out. love the way it rides though. BRAP!

There are a two full yamaha build's that you can add that where done last season. 144mm pump and all. one of which is mine. I think Dre's is the better build. I'm going to move to a simple 9/15 hooker and 701 with a coffmans pipe and sj waterbox in mine this winter. but anyways here is the two links

i have an am stem from wfo and a 2" set back on the bars. they have a swing to them like a pole ski steering. you don't have to relocate the steering to do the swap
