Freestyle 750 engine

I had the cases moded for 650 electronics so I don't need a advance plate. How much should I advance the timing so its safe to run open for 10 seconds at a time? I want the motor to last along time so I don't want to push it to the apsolute limits.

I only run royal purple in my skis. I'm pretty sure its a good oil they have there normal on then there race oil. should I be running the race oil in this motor with the porting thats been done?

About 19-20 degrees at high rpm. 650 cdi rev limit is under 7000 though. It takes 7200+ for max thrust from a 140 pump.

Sounds like a good setup so far austin, someone correct me if im wrong but if you run a 650 flywheel you will need to run 650 electronics too.
on a side note, hand on to your stock pump cone, I ran a wolf cone with my stock motor and a 12/18 but when I put the built motor in and a 9/17 I had to put in the stock cone to fight cavitation, it wouldnt hook for crap. I noticed more hit on the bottom and alot more top end with the stock cone as well.

Im in the process of grinding out the flat spots in the pump veins now, is that what people call blueprinting? dumb question I know....

Yes, you use the 650 electronics with the 650 flywheel.

Yes, what you are doing is called pump blueprinting.

I was thinking maybe I would look for a stroker crank. Are they a huge notest? I heard they vibrate alot so I would neet to get some better motor mounts. Also WHat machine work would need to be done?

Save your money. After you rock the X2 for a season or 2, look for a 800 motor and have it worked. Sounds like you found yourself a good motor that you should be able to enjoy for a while. Just stick with that. There are other motor options depending on what you are looking for.
