750 sx 94 hard to start

Hi, I know this subject has been covered pretty good for this ski, but I am still having a starting problem, or lack there of. I have a 95 Kaw 750 sx, It's been pretty hard to get it to start since I bought it last yr. I finally figured out that it is a lack of spark. It only has a spark when letting off the start switch, Never while just cranking it over. The things I have replaced. Coil, Rectifier, Relay, and I tried a used CDI that was supposedly working just fine on the ski it came out of. The only thing I have not tried or replaced is the Stator. If I am missing something Please Help. I also was told to maybe check or replace my starter?

What type of Carb is on it, and what type Flame arrester?

stock Carb, Keihn 38, Prok air filter,
I know its a spark issue not fuel. Carb has been rebult. The ski does run pretty good after getting it going. No issues there. Just that it will Not start while just cranking on it. keeping the start button pushed in. Only a spark when letting Off the start button. I have completely taken apart the start stop switch and cleaned it. thanks for your reply.

Thinking Pop-Off is too high for the Flame arrester being used. Does it have a Choke, or Primer, neither or Both?

It is mentioned in an earlier thread that it could be my Air Gap to big?The pick up at the stator, Can I adjust this a little with out screwing something up?

So you say it does run good once you get it started. How are you determining Spark is present only after the starter button is released?
As for the Pop Off if the Prok is like the K&N, Just pull it off and Hold your hand flat over the adaptor and Crank it over, if starts fairly easier that may be your issue.

Both spark plugs laying on top of head, pluged into caps of course. And then cranking the motor over

once skis started she doesnt have any issue restarting?

when you swapped out the Relay, was the Fuse wire On the Battery Post or the Starter Post?

The red fuse wire did not go to either battery post or starter post, just to the separate red pigtail wire, maybe to the cdi? ,
Whether just starting or after just riding, still Only fires engine after letting off the start button, The Ski Never starts while holding in Start button! Am I missing something Are these 750's different than a 550 that I have and starts While cranking?

So the Red wire will be terminated on one of the 2 post, should be on the Battery Cable post.

ah, I'll check, as I just put in a brand new one. If the one I took out was installed incorrectly, than I put the new one back in incorrectly, I'll check, Thanks

Okay. I checked . The relay is hooked up correctly. What can I check next?

This boat have a MODs? In the Time that you have had it has this issue been the Same, or become worse over time?

It's had this problem since I got it last year, only mods are ADA head, prok air filter, no other mods

Go ahead and test the Stator, Service manuel is under Tech FAQ's forum. they usually do not give out in this fashion, but who knows. Battery is in good shape correct?

Yes battery is brand new

I have been told that this could be that the flywheel has lost part of it's magetic strength? Or the Stator has the issue.
Still needing some Help with this Please. I am sure other people with the 750 have maybe had this same problem?
