Hi,

I've got a 97 750 big pin that I'm building into an 800, to go into a Kawi Jetmate; but I've got some questions I haven't been able to answer.

Here's what I've figured out so far. Randy at Watcon is going to bore the 750 out to 82mm. ProX or Kawi pistons. I'm working on either an 800 stock or AM head.

Randy suggested a dual 44sbn carb setup. This is where I get a little lost. Is the spacing on SeaDoo 44 carbs the same as on a Kawi? Nobody has been able to answer that one. Will SeaDoo carbs work?

Any other pitfalls I may encounter? I've got a good 650 electrical system, but some people are telling me to change to the 750 setup. I understand what's involved to fit the 650 to a 750 motor, but which is better overall?

I've got many questions on the exhaust too, but that may have to wait!

Yes from what I have been told it is the same however the Seadoo carbs are 40mm I series not 44,should work just fine,if you need a definite answer get someone to measure the intake manifold and I can measure a set of Seadoo carbs for you.

I know very little about seadoo's but don't most of there carbs mount different on rubber boots.
I suggest Mikuni 40i carbs off a 98 and up kawasaki sxi or sxr.
Yes, the 750 CDI & electrical system is better.

I thought seadoo were spikot mount? I would opt for a mikuni with the traditional flange.

82mm is the max you can go. I would be cautious about going to 82mm. The engine will be fine at 82mm but the performance gain of another 15-20cc is nothing compared to having to purchase another cylinder when that top end wears out. I would just over bore by .5mm and leave the rest of the meat on the cylinder for later.

Just my $.02
