Well here is my first post on the forum, might as well make it a good one.

89 X2 with some help from a 750 to move it along. Ski came as parts but that worked out great, No need to tear DOWN!! Had to do some fiberglass work to the front and sanded out the the chips and gouges. Brian_216 laid down some epoxy for me untill winter hits for a sweet paint job! Started Saturday am, and the motor went in today just waiting on some more goodies to come in the mail for it. Factory pipe a RAD dudes surf brace steering cable and a battery might help. More to come for a one week build

Hope to be on the water on Saturday!!

Ready to tear it up since I sold my last X-2 in 2008prj 241.JPG

We still need to find exhaust hoses from pipe to waterbox and waterbox to exhaust outlet if anyone wants to help out.

Also have a set of dual kehin carbs and manifold from a 750 kawi motor will trade for single SBN44 or 46 with matching manifold.

I ordered the brace without the mount on ebay form you about an hour ago. I have aluminum here and a tig welder.. Thinking of putting it on the other side where the oil tank went. Is there any reason you have it over the battery only?

I see a twin carb setup with a superjet b pipe chamber like we are doing. Can you give some jetting specs? I was ready to start looking for a single sbn, the dual kehins kind of scare me.

Yes to give room for any chamber from the SXR wet pipe to the blaster chamber.

The SJ you do need to heat and mold the tank a little.

Ya the twin kraps will go in the garbage as soon as funding permits.

In dire need of a steering cable (direct steer) for the weekend.... Anyone have one...?.???

My parts hookup doesn't have access to factory Kaw parts. I will be tracking one down in the AM.

Can't wait to get in the water

Bolted the motor in place last night and got the Carb's situated and hooked up, fuel lines are run. Exhaust manifold is waiting on the blaster pipe to arive in the mail hopfully today. Still working on getting a steering cable(haven't had good luck). And Bimmerboy is grabing bars for it. Looking good, should be able to ride this weekend. Worst case I will rig a steering cable if I have to!!

Pump stuffer shim and Steering cable are in route!! Bars are G2G

Got the Battery cables all to the correct length, tray is screwed down and the start stop finished up last night.

Tonight Water Box Mod, Beer, and Dual cooling to be done posibly eliminate some slop in the steering stem.

I guess I sold the pump stuffer and a big hub prop?

The blaster chamber is in, looks great. And its huge!! that thing barely fits in there. I found the only way to get the chamber in is to un bolt the head pipe. Also I just wanted to note- there was nothing in the x-2 750 swap manual about cutting off the lord mount on the manifold and beating the chamber in a bit to fit.

Took the first spin tonight, holy top end, needs a bit of low. Guess the big hub n stuffer will come in handy!! Time for prop trials!!! And replace some melted cooling lines. Oops! Gotba bit warm but if that's all that goes wrong for the first voyage I can live with that.

what impeller are you running now? I am using a skat 14/19 now with my 750 converson, 46 sbn, and westcoast pipe, and the bottom is good, but lacks the top end I hoped for also

IMG_0750.JPGIMG_0749.JPGIMG_0748.JPGBlaster Factroy B pipe is a tight squeeze, Brian had to ding it a bit but she fits. The pipe and water box mod sounds sweet. Quiet at an idle and just right at WOT.

is the 14/19 you are running a big hub? We put a straight 9/17 in this one (small hub) If yours is a big hub do you care to trade? I have an 11/17 hooker (12/14 swirl repackaged) Id trade if you dont want the small hub 9/17

no mine is the small hub. I would love to get a big hub with a stuffer, or suposidly, a cut back SXR impeller is the best for a 750-800 motor setup. I think the first impeller we tried was a 9/17 ( I would have to look) and the top end sucked my 750SS couch would beat the X2 no problem.

PUMP STUFFER/ SHIM AND SWIRL IN LAST NIGHT, made a big differance but still going to seek better bottom, along with a shaved head. Motor will have to wait for winter to get anything more. Just going to ride it the way it sits.
