I have a 94' 750sx and was having carb issues so I borrowed my buddies carb for the weekend. Well he needs it back so I went ahead and bought a brand new MIKUNI SBN 44 carb for my ski since its a good upgrade and ill be keeping the ski for a while. I know I need a aftermarket manifold and flame arrestor to fit the carb and a primer kit bc it has no choke plate. The engine is stock and I need to know what jetting I need and what to set the h and l speed screws at as well. I dont know much with jetting so iof anyone has this carb, I need help!!

Thanks

stock pipe for now, stock engine. I got a 150H and 120L jet and stock n/s and spring. Im not sure if that is good and also where should I start with the H and L speed adjustment screws??? HELP

if there was an aftermarket pipe on it then you would call the pipe manufacturer and they would usually have the jetting. for a stock pipe i am not sure, i kno the jets for the stock keihin carb but not for a sbn 44. i dont kno if calling kawi would do any justice but if u have a dealer near by they might be able to point u in the right direction. wish i could be more hepful

his carb was from a 650, not sure if that makes a difference and his jets were 110 and 135. we had to really open the adjusters to get it to run good so I dont think his jetting was good for my ski.

Well how did your ski run with your buddies jets on his sbn44? Why not just use the same size? Then go from there?

Exactly...if your ski wasn't falling all over itself, I'd say start with his jetting and work up or down depending on how it acts. Since you say you needed to richen up the screws to make it run, try the next size jets up and see what happens. Might want to go ahead and order 2-3 jets up on both just so you have everything you need.

I have a '93 sx stock jug with a 44sbn / r&d intake and exhaust system. From what I recall I have a 175 main jet and a 112.5 pilot in it. It hauls azz from mid bottom to the top end but could use a lil more arm yank on the bottom side of things.

I have spent a little more time on my crf lately and havent figured out the weak spark thing with the timing advance plate install.
