SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750sx with big pin XI engine...timing advance or not?

Hey guys im thinking about putting my extra R&D timing advance on my XI big pin engine thats going in my 750sx hull, my only mods right now are an aftermarket intake with reeds/spacers dual sudco 42s but stock exhaust (maybe picking up an R&D exhaust soon...) but as it sits now should I put the timing advance plate in or not? I have heard things good and bad about them..any input is appreciated!

its ok if you stay away from WOT, if you do use WOT only use it for very short spurts. I was told not to run it buy my motor builder with 25+ years in kawi race and rec ski's. I trusted his judgement.

I run the R&D advance plate on my ski and like it for my setup, cheap/reliable alternative to MSD enhancer. I'm running a ported motor with 200psi heads and don't hesitate to hold it open all day long, but I am also running race fuel. Just depends on your setup, I have ran it on a limited and stock motor, both on 93 octane. Have never had a issue with it on any ski!

Thanks guys I have heard both sides also, my tuning guy said it's fine with a stock exhaust or RnD exhaust but not a factory pipe...he also reminded me engines aren't meant to be held at wide open for more than a short time...which I'm sure all of us hold em wide open for longer than that on occasion...anyone else have any info or have this on a 93 octane setup?
