SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750sxi pro + fpp ???

So hey i have a sxi pro and i just put a a FPP in it today.... Sounds like a sweet combo right? nah.. i had an fpp on my last 750 and she was a bolt on and ride thing.. not this time,
has anyone had to cut out thier hood so the pipe wouldnt hit it when you closed it?I had to cut off both of those intake ducts and notch out the rear intake duct just to close my hood... is that normal for the sxi pro?

and now time to tune.. i'm going to tune for where i ride but whats a good starter for the water jet tuning screws? (yessss mine actually turn this time!) Right now they're all set at 2 turns out..

iirc, the air ducts are slightly different location on a sxipro but not sure.it's been a while.
for the dry pipe you had to mod the hood.

mine has the wet pipe but the original owner moved the intake tubes on the hood to sides farthest from the air openings.

no info on tuning screws mine are mashed up but it runs well so i just leave it be.

it sucks when i rode it the other day the steering cable fell out of its holder so i had to modify :wall: its nice that its shorter but it doesnt feel solid, could be the aluminum. no cracks in my welds tho!!!!!!!! :439::439::439:

The pipe screws work as follows.

Opening the screw closest to the manifold will increase low end. As you move away from the manifold and open the bottom one that will increase top end. You must close down the first screw and open the last when running a bouy corse. You do not want too much water into the pipe. That would be good for nothing. For low end open the first screw anywhere from a 1/2 turn to just over 1. Keep the middle one closed and open the bottom one 1/8 ish of a turn. This is just an example. Each ski's mods and riding location will make every ones water screws just a bit different. This will give youa way to get it to your desired riding style.

Ok reviving this post! She bogggggs really bad at around 1/3 throttle but once you get it past that she's fine. FPP's website doesnt have anything about what pop off pressure i should run and i cant find anywhere what the actual setting is..... Even tho its not pop off i still want to get them right.
bottom screw is 1 turn and the top screw is 7/8 turns out..:brap:
