I have a b1 hull I just picked up and have my eye on a couple donors with 760's how well do they pair.
What changes need to be made mainly exhaust?

Hi, I actually had a ski that had this setup. It had a waveraider 760 with stock exhaust and electronics. I didn't feel anymore low end power than the stock motor (although my friends did) but top speed was noticeably higher. I agree with the rest of the users, change the pipe to an after market one to get it to run even better. I think you have to use the 701 head to mount the stock exhaust. 760 head apparently has a different bolt pattern. That's what I did.

How was the fuel consumption with 44's compared to the 701? How does the 701 head work on 760, do you just use a 760 head gasket?

The fuel consumption was pretty good and the ski actually surprised me with how far I could go and come back on a single tank. The trip I took was longer than the trip my friends could make on their superjets on a single tank. That said, the 701 probably had better fuel consumption. I believe that the 701 head gasket was used but I'm not sure. The 701 head worked well but I couldn't shake the feeling that the engine was being restricted. I didn't feel it performance wise but the idea of a 701 head with a stock exhaust on a 760 engine kept me thinking about how fast and powerful it would be with the correct parts and an aftermarket exhaust.

I put a 760 B2 motor in my B1 after i blew up the 1100 that I had in it. The 760 has more top end than a 701. I ride surf and installed a b-pipe on the 760. I love this set-up this is what should have come in the B1. I added dual 38's instead of the 44s.

Any chance you would know the jetting you were using In the 38's?

I started with this and worked my way down. I cant recall the final jetting. Its pretty much same jetting range of a 701 with a b-pipe.
140-150 mains
80-90 pilots.
2.0 N&S

I have this setup

>B1
>760 w dual 44, little faster fuel but well worth the power
>Factory Limited, I drilled the manifold to 10mm (some people I heard helicoil the cylinder for 8mm)
>lightened flywheel (Thank you #Zero)
>165psi stock head (Thank you #Zero)

It rips !!!

I have it in a purple 94 Hull (I was told purples don’t rub w Factory pipes but that must be w a 701), the Headpipe barely rubbed but I didn’t like that, I put masking tape w chalk on it in the area the headpipe rubbed on the hull (chalk on the hull to transfer to headpipe) and ended up grinding off about .0040 off the headpipe to get it to clear about 1/8”.
