your 701 will run better then the 760 with the same mods. ben there done that. 760 (stock port )was a waist of time. 61x 701 runs much better.

you will need to switch the ebox, flywheel, and stator over to the superjet ign.
the 760 ign will not work right in a superjet.

if you want to part it out, post it in the for sale section.

We have a ported 760 and it runs great, we switched e electrical, cylinder ported, B pipe, enhanver 10/16 hook, stubby, worx intake
Everyone will tell you the 61x Cylinder is better which is tru but a ported 760 engine is an all arround great set up

I was thinking of doing the same setup in my ski as I have found a 760 that is too cheap to pass up. What are the big flaws in this set up? no low end? Would it be wiser to run the 760 electrics or use my stock 61x setup?

What are the real down falls of the 760 that the 701 is so much better at?

760 has a 2mm higher exhaust port timing for better mid to top end...760 electrical system was the first to retard the rear cyl timing 2 degrees at all times combined with staggered compression (lower in rear) and richer jetting rear carb 137.5 main to offset rear cyl heat problems with a big pump load of the couch...the ported 760 with ported cases with a 61x electrical in a SJ hits like a mofo especially when a good builder lowers the port timing by decking the bottom of the cyl and makes custom domes...SJ762 on here has one and it has bottom end hit !

The 62T/61X 701 is much better than the 760. Sure you can throw a ton of cash at the 760 to make it hit hard but throw a fraction of that at the 701 and you have a way better setup.
