This is simple I'm taking my life jacket and shorts to havasu I'm going to ride team screams skis . Orangefinger it seems you and I are interested in the same things , I talked to Radney and he said he was going to have some demo skis so people could know what power they could provide. Pretty much everyone I've talked to said they would have a ski or someone with a ski that I could test ride. Just compare for yourself.

i've got one in my blaster, but like others have said i haven't ridden the 771. so it's impossible for me to compare, but it's fast. kind of like the difference between a 250f and 450f motocross bike, just much, much more torque.

You have a group k 849? How many are out there in the world? Didn't Harry just announce it? Is it a thumper? What else are you running with it?

I think Skinnyman has a GroupK 845cc on order. He was running a 5mm ADA stroker that Team Scream built. I beleive he went with the GroupK this time due to the insane amount of hours he puts on his ski.

the question was 845 vs team scream

i don't think its fair to make a reccomendation unless you have all the facts..your logic doesn't make sense to me...if he was asking if team scream was a good motor then you should comment but he was asking to compare the two...i just see that allot on here and it bothers me...

So why cant I have an opinion. I know the reputation of both. I would not hesitate to actually order either. But, my choice would be Team Scream. How is that. Is that response more suitable to you.

;)

i'm running a fpp mod chamber that group k bored the head pipe on, tdr waterbox, dual 44's, protec cdi, lightened flywheel, hooker impros 11/17, and boyesen reeds with stuffers.

Where can I read up on the 771? Chuckie have a site?

I'm in the same boat and I think I'll be spending the next few weeks trying to decide what exactly to dump all my funds into.

I went with the 845
Should have it back in a month or so
My decission was based off stock crank over the 5mm set up i used to have.

I still go by the old saying about displacement If its in the ballpark on $$ I really dont see a choice.

Maybe its just me but I don't see the massive strokers as being that good of an option for Joe average, especially when you are going more than 5mm,even if you did have to resleeve it after a couple of seasons I think you would still be money ahead with the bigbore.

Thats why you go Big bore+stroker+flat tops+total loss+top notch fuel system. After that, u r DONE(until re-build time LOL).

Team scream has their motor in a stock hull. I think I'm might be test riding with you, water is cold as hell I was in it thursday.

I as well will be getting a RN in the next season hopefully not 2 seasons.
Would like to know the comparisons of engines at WF. All in stock boats to level the playing field so to say. This would be a great thread to start.
