87 650sx cab issues

Hello, I have a new to me 87 kawi 650sx. I was rebuilding the carb ( because it only ran when you primed gas into the engine)and noticed the previous owner completely destroyed the head on the high speed adjustment needle. I saw why real quick. The thing was absolutely stuck in there and now has broken off. I'm looking for a new 28mm carb, or an upgrade that I've seen many ppl do. This is a stock 650, so what would you guys recommend I do. Thank you very much in advance.

Bore out your manifold with a rotary tool and go with a 38mm carb, or hit up kingal69 for a replacement 28mm carb.

Go with a 38mm carb or find a 44 single manifold and run a 44mm

A while back I switched from stock carb to the CDK-II Blue carb, and I gotta say my 650sx is now the fastest starting, crispest throttling of any ski I have owned.

Find a pipe, then an SBN 44 with the right manifold, you're set.. Parts for the 650 are not that hard on the wallet these days

As others have said, a 28mm is a waste of time and money. Get at least a 38. There's a reason they only came with that tiny carb for a few years then went to 38 stock. Mine came with a sbn 44 and ran good.
