Thanks for the advice on the seal. One of my friends was going to replace his as well. Should I mess with the hood hooks or will the stock setup work sufficient?

depends upon what your gonna be doing but yea hood hooks are pretty durable.
the latch fails first. but if your riding lakes only you really shouldnt worry about anything the ski is pretty indestructible on flat water.

Ride It!

Is this your first ski? Ride it. Intake grate/impellar/Pipe are nice to haves and should be the first things you add IMO and I think a few other guys feel the same way.

I've had a 650sx for a few years and just picked up an 07 SJ in the fall - already had Bpipe/intake/impeller/jetted/primer/tach - Its pretty much good to go now - those things make a world of difference once you learn how to stay up.

But if your just learning - oh the pain how we all remember. :eek:uch:
Intake grate/maybe ride plate/impeller.

It'd add some bildges too of course when you start putting it under water. Until then Ride Dude Ride!

I started putting the bilge in today. I probably won't do any more till I've had it in the water a couple of times. I've ridden a few times on my friends sn. His has b-pipe, lightened flywheel, and a few other mods. Don't have to tell me about pain. I've wiped a time or two or every time I ride. BTW, thanks for all the advice. I been reading as much as I can. I've become obsessed.
